I just received an email from one of my previous Brides mother, and it sparked memories of the some of my favorite Brides, and their Wedding Day. So, I was compelled to dedicate this post to a few of my favorite Brides. Now, I have had hundreds and I remember every last one of them, but some I have gained great relationships with as well as good times...

Just got back some days ago from NY working with the fabulous Philip Velende. Doesn't he sound hot! He is such a charm, as well as and ol' skool great ;-) . I would describe his work as; colorful, clean and fluid.

We also worked with the fab Ope for styling, Deleesa on hair, and a beautiful model Abby from Marilyn Model Management. The team did an exceptional job. Can't wait to see the pics!

Candles!

So, I do have a fascination with candles, and yes, they are everywhere, in my home.

There is something wonderfully marvelous about a candle that can totally make me happy!

Wherever I may be winding down, I will light a candle , and totally fall into peace and relaxation.

However, I don't just like any ol' Candle. But nope, I'm not the fancy dancy type that has to have the $100 dollar candle. I may just settle for the $2.99 candle, but you betcha it will smell good.

I found some current finds at Ikea, that were regulary $4.95, that were on sale for $1.00. Yep, I racked up!

 Now i'm on a new obsession, and that is with Diptyque Candles. Diptyque fragrances have been the well-kept secret of the royal, diplomatic and fashion elite since the company began in Paris in 1961. Diptyque’s exclusive and original home fragrances combine the finest all-natural ingredients, resulting in rich aromas that are pure and fresh, yet complex and intriguing.

These candles can be found and fine deparment stores, as well as boutiques, and will be sure to have any area within reach smelling of the rich aroma.

These are on my current wishlist, and think I will take a trip down to the local BlueMercury store, that have a sample at all of the scents. Some may not be able to swallow at the price, but I'm totally all over them!

.. my newest find ; Wet N' Wild..

Running into CVS, for a quick swap of something remotely neutral for a client Engagement Photo Shoot, I run into this fabulous find.
I heard someone mention this gloss before, but of course I never gave it a try, until I was almost desperate.
So, looking for something cheap and deliverable for a quick fix, I happend to pick up this Wet n Wild Gloss in Brazen Berry, that looked like a nice sheer color. So I purchased it.
Like always, I sample the products before I try them on my client and I was amazed by this product.

The gloss was really sheer and the best of all it was not sticky. It had a nice berry color that you could actually see, but did not scream with color.

Even though I can really do without a scent to my gloss, this scent was not boring, and actually smelled pretty good. It is ultra glossy so a little goes along way.

The color looked exactly like I had imagined on my client, so of course I was a happy camper.

I had to go back the next day and pick one up for myself! This will definitely be a staple in the kit for a 'quick fix' neutral.

Many of days I have come from the outdoors thinking, geez, I smell like 'outdoors'. It's not the most pleasant thing to smell, when you are heading to a business lunch, or hot date. So, I was thrilled when I flipped through my current Lucky Magazine and spotted Giovanni Cosmetics Organic Biodegradable Towlettes (11.95). The come in great scents such as; Peppermint Surge, Lavender Calm and Grapefruit Splash.

Another great thing is that they come in tiny, individually wrapped packets that are great to toss in your bag, carry on luggage or your purse. The 20 ct. mix pack, that will be perfect for the times when I may want a wake me up with the Grapefruit scent, or want to relax with Lavendar, or spruce up with Peppermint. You can now clean up, wipe up, and freshen up on the go!

This is perfect for those long flights that leave you dull, and lifeless, or the sun that leaves you burned and dry. This will be a staple for me !

Tired but Blissful..

So this weekend completed what I call my Traveling/ Wedding Summer... We just got back in town last night from such a wonderful extended weekend, for our best buddies Jeff and Trina's Wedding in SC. And what makes this couple so special is that Jeff is the one who introduced me to Troy, who is now my hubby!

Even though I just got married to my wonderful hubby this past June, which was oh-so-fab, we got to relive it again with Jeff and Trina. This time we were able to be the spectators, and enjoy the moment with them as they prepared for their nuptials. I can say it felt great because I could see the moments that I am so glad that I was able to enjoy but also see how the events, and moments leading up to the Wedding can be so special, and can I say tiring!

Jeff and Trina's family was so amazing, and we felt so much like family. But, never go to the south and think you will be on some kind of strict diet or 'eating healthy' plan! All of that was out the window as soon as we geared up with the Bride and Groom for the 8 hour trip to the south! Any and everything we ate was good! So, needless to say I am back and tuned in to my regular exercise program.

The Wedding was beautiful and so elegantly done. And as I witnessed the union, I can say, I know I felt as happy as they looked. I guess words cannot describe the feeling of marrying someone who you love so much, and know that that is just the beginning of so many years to come. I felt every bit of excitement and happiness for them that I know I felt on my own Wedding Day. Love is beautiful.

So Cheers to Jeff and Trina, and wishing them many many years of happiness, and love!

So, I was in Mexico and happend to pick this up for 21 dollars..(no tax).. Yeah! and omg as a Makeup Artist who uses millions of products, I can truly say that I am in love..
I was sold on Loreal's Volumnious before, then I found a new love of Fresh's Supernova..all $26 dollars of it.. Then, I find this Dior love and couldn't beat the price. Plus they were sold out of the regular Diorshow.. So I tried this Blackout..and I can truly say..I HAVE NOT FOUND BETTER..
I have this obsessive compulsion of loving my lashes feeling extra long, and thick, but without the clumps..and this does it.. it maximizes my lashes to the fullest!
This is the best mascara to date, and I don't think I will cheat on it with another mascara ever! unless they come out with one that takes my eyelashes to the moon ;-)

What is your skin craving ??

As I was applying my moisturizer last night, I thought about why I like this particular moisturizer . Like most women I know that fall into the category of 'product junkies', I tend to find myself in the faithful 'loyal bin'. Yes, I have tried many products, and I research products daily, but I don't find myself going to the store monthly stocking up on these products like groceries.

However, there is one product I am crazy about, and I will run to the store to buy it at the mere site of the bottom of the jar. I have found a faithful, loyal, 'never disappoint', 'nag me when I stray', friend.. and that is my CVS Vitamin E moisturizer.

It is not your typical $39 dollar jar of cream or your Cavier infused potion. It is a $3.99 jar of Vitamin E cream.

I have cheated! I have cheated! and gone to other things, but the grass was not green! In fact it was full of weeds!! I had to run back. and was just hoping for happy return. I was welcomed back with radiant skin again. I will never stray !

I can always tell an immediate difference when I don't use it. My moisturizer immediately gives me the smooth, butter feeling my skin craves. It has no harsh ingredients that break me out and itch, and as an added benefit, it keeps my blemishes at bay. I look in the mirror, and my skin is plumper than when I used a $200 'famous' cream, that so many use. I can't ask for anything more in a cream.

A night out with Grace...

So like I stated before I have been inducted into Grace Ormond's Platinum list for DC/MD/VA... and I am beyond thrilled!

Well of course it wouldn't be of any suprise that Grace decided to host this wonderful gathering for her DC Platinum List members... and what a shin dig it was... This was the night to honor the many great Vendors in DC area.

I was able to put a face to so many names of the great Vendors here in the DC area..

It was great to chat it up with Gina, and Grace herself. She is a phenomenal woman, and has such great charm...

This will definitely be a night to remember.. I wish her all the success the world has to give and I am honored and grateful for her to have such a resource for Brides and the alike who want nothing but the best for their Wedding. Grace Ormond Wedding Style Magazine offers that.

This was a perfect combination of elegance and grace. This is one of the best dresses I have seen on the Red carpet. She has come along way from Eve's Bayou, and she is making a serious statment.

Woaah.. wait wait wait.. I had to pump my breaks and take a pause for the cause when I saw this..

and Because I am so lavishly in love with makeup, theres rarely that one face that stops me in my tracks.. Well one did today, and I had to share..

This is Tia Mowry at the I Am Legend Premier.. .. Her makeup was flawless!.. how beautifully contrasting is the eyeshadow with her skin. She was definitely glowing, and I think this look could be staple for alot of women of all skin tones.

I will have to see what I can whip out of my makeup case to recommend of how to duplicate this look..

I'll be tuned..!

After countless times of request to start a Blog, I finally took the plunge to see what this was all about. I guess this will be useful, since I am on the internet 25 hours a day! Lol
