BRIDAL SHOOT Product Peek! | DC Makeup Artist

It's not rare that I will share what products I used on a shoot..I'm always trying great products, and would like to share certain products that I use. Besides, its no fun to eat a great casserole, and not know what's in it ;). Brides and bridal shoots are my favorite, because its the time when you are trying to enhance their beauty the most. You definitely don't want to take away from any of their features, you just want to enhance... So here is some of the products used to achieve the look of the model above.
For Bridal shoots, I like to use an array of foundations, however I love working with Makeup Forever Foundations. Not only are the budge-proof, but they give a beautiful finish. Stay put makeup is definitely key for bridal:

On top, I like to use a blot powder like MAC's Loose Blot Powder
For eyes, waterproof and smudge proof is key, so I like to use Urban Decay's 24/7 Eye Liner, or MAC's Powerpoints. Any waterproof mascara will do but I do like to use Loreal Voluminous Waterproof Mascara.
For eye shadows, I like to layer with a great holding base, and use my favorite palette by YABY COSMETICS. Love love love this palette.
For cheeks, I like Nars blushes, like Love Joy, Taj Mahal, Orgasm, or MAC's Slave to Love and Raizen.
For lips anything goes, but you definitely want something that wears good, and doesn't have much transfer. I like to use a stay put lipstick first and then layer lightly with a shiny gloss just in the center like Nars Glosses, or Dior glosses. Favorite Nars glosses include, Dolce Vita, and Orgasm.
To to the look off in areas that need highlighting and bronzing, I use Givenchy's Bronzer where needed.

These are just some of the products I use, but use many many more depending on client. These were some of the products use for the look above, give or take a few products..

DiorShow Extase | DC Makeup Artist | DC EYELASH EXTENSIONS

If anyone knows me you know I am about Dior Mascara. I am a mascara junkie and nothing has pulled me away from my Dior Show BlackOut, and I have tried alot. I have the skimpiest lashes, and it's nothing like rich, lush lashes that have some major volume and curl.

So, yesterday I happened to walk myself on in to Sephora, to do a little browsing and pick up a few things, and I noticed a new mascara from Dior. The rep said it wasn't suppose to be out on the shelves yet, but she pulled one out for me. Of course I'm hesitant to try anything new, hoping not to get converted to something else, because my loyalty is so strong. But, without hesitation I gave this new mascara a try, and all I have to say is 'Oh my'!.. Dior's new mascara, DiorShow Extase Mascara, is trying to pull my leg..

What was so different about this mascara, Well, It did the same thing for my lashes as DiorShow Blackout, except this one gave me a little more length and curl. The mascara claims to plump lashes from the inside out, and can wear this alone or with other Dior mascaras.I found the formula was a tad lighter than DiorShow Blackout, and didn't clump as much. I loved the head on the brush, and overall I found it a wonderful mascara.

What it does: DiorShow Extase provides built-in treatment benefits and high-impact lashes in a single stroke! The spherical-shaped Black Pearl Pigments create a 3D volume effect and the exclusive Metamorphosis Powders expand in size by up to 50% after application. Also, SR38 Patented Ceramid brings additional care, reconstructing damaged lashes and promoting stronger and fuller lashes.

What else you need to know:The Extase mascara features a "Tiered Brush" that is inspired by the "tiered" couture dresses created by the House of Dior. The brush is designed for performance and contains an Exclusive Duo of Fibers: The Black Elastomer Fibers brush out and define the lashes for panoramic fringe and the Gold Nylon Fibers hold and deposit formula, generously coating each lash for outstanding volume

So was I converted? , I won't say I'm ditching my BlackOut, but I may use both of these on a daily basis. Let's just say I have added a new mascara to my collection.

We love!

Eyes to the Moon!

(response post from Tia Williams- Shake Your Beauty)
I can't see...!....
BlackOut! ..
A mascara blackout......
Dior Show Blackout!
So, I was in Mexico and happend to pick this up for 21 dollars..(no tax).. Yeah! and omg as a Makeup Artist who uses millions of products, I can truly say that I am in love..
I was sold on Loreal's Volumnious before, then I found a new love of Fresh's Supernova..all $26 dollars of it.. Then, I find this Dior love and couldn't beat the price. Plus they were sold out of the regular Diorshow.. So I tried this Blackout..and I can truly say..I HAVE NOT FOUND BETTER..
I have this obsessive compulsion of loving my lashes feeling extra long, and thick, but without the clumps..and this does it.. it maximizes my lashes to the fullest!
This is the best mascara to date, and I don't think I will cheat on it with another mascara ever! unless they come out with one that takes my eyelashes to the moon ;-)
